-In the NHL playoffs Tuesday night – the Maple Leafs got by the Senators 3-2 in overtime, the Hurricanes beat the Devils 3-1, the Panthers downed the Lightning 6-2 in Game 1 – and the Wild topped the Golden Knights 5-2. Toronto and Carolina lead their series 2-0, while the Minnesota-Vegas series is tied at 1. The Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues resume their series on Thursday. Winnipeg leads 2-0.
-Tonight – the Capitals host the Canadiens, the Avalanche entertain the Stars – and the Oilers visit the Kings. Washington and Los Angeles lead their series 1-0, while Dallas and Colorado are tied at one.
-The Houston Astros (12-11) downed the Toronto Blue Jays (12-12) 5-1. The series wraps up tonight.
-and Andre Agassi, who retired from professional tennis in 2006, will be back on a different court next week. He’ll be competing with teenager Anna Leigh Waters in the mixed pro division at the U-S Open Pickleball Championships. Agassi turns 55-years-old next week.
