-The St. Louis Blues beat the Winnipeg Jets 7-2 last night in Game 3 of their first round playoff series. Game 4 goes Sunday afternoon in St. Louis.
-In other action – the Panthers downed the Lightning 2-0, the Leafs edged the Senators 3-2 in overtime, and the Wild beat the Golden Knights 5-2. Florida leads their series 2-0, Toronto leads theirs 3-0 and Minnesota is up 2-1 on Vegas. Tonight: the Capitals visit the Canadiens, the Devils host the Hurricanes – and the Oilers entertain the Kings. Los Angeles, Washington and Carolina all lead their series 2-games-to-none.
-The Vancouver Whitecaps defeated Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami CF 2-0 Thursday night in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal. The series winner will advance to the CONCACAF Champions Cup final against either Cruz Azul or Tigres UNAL on June 1.
-The Toronto Blue Jays (12-13) open a weekend series tonight in New York against the Yankees (15-10).
