Winnipeg MLA Obby Khan has been selected as the new leader of Manitoba’s Progressive Conservatives. In a mail-in ballot, Khan narrowly defeated Wally Daudrich who owns a hotel and ecotourism business in Churchill.
Former Manitoba premier Heather Stefanson sparked the leadership contest when she resigned in early 2024.

A new survey has found Canadians average more remote workdays than employees anywhere else in the world. We work from home an average of 1.9 days a week. The U-K ranked second followed closely by Finland, the United States, Germany and China. Employees with kids more often split their workdays between home and the office.

Stats-Can says land border crossings into the province from the U.S. increased by 7.6% during the first quarter of 2025 compared to last year. Arrivals by air were even higher – up 60% – likely due to new flights being added.
