The Brandon Police Service wants you to be aware that some local graduating students are participating in a tradition known as Senior Splashin’ – a fun and competitive water-tag style game played among Grade 12 students.
Here’s how it works:
-Each participant is secretly assigned a fellow grad as a target.
-School, work, and sporting events are off-limits for play.
-Students wearing goggles are considered “safe” and cannot be tagged at that time.
-The last one left “dry” is crowned the winner!
What does this mean for Brandon?
You may notice teens running around in unusual attire like goggles or water wings in public places – yes, even the mall! While it’s all in good fun, we ask everyone involved and observing to keep safety in mind.
A few important reminders:
-Students – do NOT use water guns that resemble real firearms.
-Be respectful of others, especially those NOT involved.
-Stay safe, have fun, and represent your class with pride!
Let’s all work together to keep Senior Splashin’ a safe and positive experience for everyone in the community.
