-The Dallas Stars took a 2-games-to-1 lead in their second-round series against the Winnipeg Jets with a 5-2 win on Sunday. Game 4 goes Tuesday in Dallas. In the other game, the Florida Panthers tied their series with the Toronto Maple Leafs at two with a 2-0 win.
-Tonight, the Hurricanes host the Washington Capitals with Carolina up 2-1 – and the Oilers entertain the Vegas Golden Knights: Edmonton leads 2-1.
-At Men’s World Hockey Championship in Sweden, Canada beat Latvia 7-1 on Sunday. Canada and Sweden are tied atop Group A with two wins each. Canada meets France on Tuesday.
-In the Professional Women’s Hockey League Semi-finals on Sunday – Montreal edged Ottawa 3-2 in quadruple overtime to tie their best-of-5 series at one – and Minnesota downed Toronto 7-5 to take a 2-1 series lead.
-The Toronto Blue Jays extended their winning streak to 4 games by topping the Seattle Mariners 9-1 on Sunday. The Jays host the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.
