-The Winnipeg Jets stayed alive in their second-round playoff series by beating the Stars 4-0 Thursday night. Winnipeg can send the series to a Game 7 with a win tomorrow in Dallas. In the other game, the Carolina Hurricanes knocked off the Washington Capitals with a 3-1 win to take the series 4-games-to-1. Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs must win against the Panthers. Florida leads 3-2.
-The Medicine Hat Tigers can claim the WHL Championship if they beat the Chiefs in Spokane tonight. The Tigers lead the series 3-1.
-Canada beat Austria 5-1 at the Men’s World Hockey Championship. Canada and Sweden are tied atop Group A at 4-and-0.
-In the Professional Women’s Hockey League best-of-5 Semi-finals – Montreal is at Ottawa tonight. Ottawa leads series 2-1
-The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays 8-3. The Detroit Tigers visit the Jays today.
