T- Swift has bought back her master recordings of her first six albums! She announced the news on social media, along with a letter on her website, calling the achievement “a flashback sequence of all the time I daydreamed about, wished for, and pined away for a chance to get to tell this news.”
She confirmed that all of her work — music, videos, art, and more — now belongs to her. Swift thanked fans, crediting their support of her re-recorded albums and the success of the “Eras Tour” for making the deal possible. Her purchase follows producer Scooter Braun acquiring her catalog six years earlier, apparently without her approval. The music catalogue was later sold to Shamrock Capital, who has now sold to Swift for around $360-million, according to sources speaking to “Billboard.”
