Beginning on Monday, the City of Brandon will have a new General Manager of Operations, they announced today. Todd Burton will fill the role effective June 16, overseeing oversee the City’s Transportation Services, Parks & Recreation, Public Works, and Underground Utilities.
In a release, the City said Burton has already worked with them for 15 years most recently serving as Director of Innovation, Technology & Communications, and was educated at Brandon University. He takes over the position from Patrick Pulak, who worked with the City for 36 years.
“Todd brings strong leadership and a forward-thinking approach to the Operations portfolio,” said City Manager Dave Wardrop. “His experience and commitment to innovation will be invaluable as we continue to enhance the delivery of essential services to our community.”

Burton’s purview will include the City’s outdoor operations, including public works, parks, the airport, and transportation services.
