The intersection of 1st Street & Maryland Avenue will be closed starting Friday June 27th and will remain closed until September 1st to complete Phase 2 of construction on the new roundabout.
This road closure also affects the multi-use pathway pedestrian crosswalk at Maryland Avenue and 1st Street. Traffic and pedestrian detours will be in place during this time.
-Phase 2 of construction is focused on the west side of the roundabout and completion of all roadwork to facilitate opening the roundabout to traffic prior to school starting in September.
-Phase 3 will be the last phase of construction and will begin in the fall to complete the remaining landscaping and multi-use pathway construction.
