-The still undefeated Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-0) host the Calgary Stampeders (3-1) in the CFL tonight. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are on a bye week. They’ll meet the Stampeders July 18th in Winnipeg.
-The Toronto Blue Jays open a weekend series against the Athletics tonight.
-The Southwest Baseball League playoffs continued on Thursday. The Brandon Cardinals beat the Deloraine Royals 8-7 to win their Best-of-3 series 2-games-to-1 – and the Rivers Comets topped the Brandon Young Guns 2-1 to lead their series 1-0.
-In the Canadian Elite Basketball League – the Winnipeg Sea Bears visit the Saskatchewan Rattlers tonight.
