-The National League won a 4-3 swing-off after a 6-6 tie to beat the American League in Major League baseball’s All-Star game. Philadelphia Phillies Kyle Schwarber was named MVP.
-The Southwest Baseball League playoffs continue tonight with the Boissevain Centennials host the Brandon Cardinals and the Rivers Comets in Oak River against the Dodgers.
-Four Canadians are in the field for the British Open, which begins Thursday at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland. Corey Conners is joined by Nick Taylor, Taylor Pendrith and Mackenzie Hughes. Xander Schauffele is the defending champion.
