Summer Vacation

For years I have taken great pains to plan summer vacations for my family and we’ve had some fantastic ones over the years.  This year I decided on a Staycation.  No plans, just day by day and it was fantastic.  There are so many inexpensive things you can do with your family to make it special and memorable without a lot of stress.  Day trips to neighboring communities always manages to leave me in awe of how welcoming and friendly people are.  Pack a picnic lunch and head out to a lake or splash park.  I managed to reconnect with a lot of friends over lunches and suppers during my vacation.  Or, how about a theme party on the deck?  I attended a Hippie themed Birthday party for a friend it it was so much fun it made me wonder why we wait for special occasions to do it.  Plan it now, do it now, I promise you won’t regret it.
