The City of Brandon reports that Phase One of road construction in front of J.R. Reid School on 26th Street is ongoing.
Starting September 3rd, traffic will be opened to one lane in each direction utilizing the northbound lanes from Balsam Crescent to Victoria Avenue, while work continues in the southbound lanes.
Phase Two will be focused on completion of the rest of the reconstruction work.
The City says it “anticipates the majority of the road construction to be completed to a state where it can be re-opened come winter. The top lift of asphalt will be paved in the spring of 2026 when seasonal conditions are favorable.”
