-The Brandon Wheat Kings’ ‘Team Black’ won Monday’s annual ‘Black & Gold’ game 3-2. The Wheat Kings first exhibition game is Friday in Regina. The two teams will then return to Brandon on Saturday for a game at Assiniboine Credit Union Place.
-In the CFL on Monday, the Calgary Stampeders beat the Edmonton Elks 28-7 – and the Toronto Argonauts downed the Hamilton Tiger Cats 35-33. On Sunday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 34-30.
-The 2025-26 NFL season kicks-off this Thursday with the Dallas Cowboys in Philadelphia against the defending Super Bowl Champion Eagles.
-The Cincinnati Reds got by the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 on Monday. The series continues today.
