Operation of Conveyance While Prohibited
On September 9th at 12:45 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted in the 1100 block of 18th Street after the plates initially showed unregistered. The 21-year-old male driver did provide new registration to the vehicle as well as a new license plate, which wasn’t attached to the vehicle and was registered in his father’s name. When asked for a license, the accused stated he did not have a license. A check showed that he was a suspended driver in Manitoba, and he had a restriction to have an ignition interlock when driving a motor vehicle. A further search showed he was a prohibited driver Canada wide for previous impaired sanctions. The male was charged with Operation of Conveyance While Prohibited as well as issued a Highway Traffic Act ticket for driving without an ignition interlock device (As per conditions). The vehicle was towed, and the male was later released via Appearance Notice with a court date for November 3rd, 2025.

Possession of a Weapon / Failure to Comply Release Order / Mischief Under $5000
On September 9th at 11:16 a.m. police received a report of a male damaging an air conditioner at a business in the 600 block of 18th Street. He was reported to be using a knife and stabbing the unit. Police attended and found the subject to be in possession of a knife, found in his hoody pocket. The 22-year-old male is on conditions not to possess weapons. He was arrested, held in BPS detention cells and will attend court in the morning on September 10th, 2025.
Criminal Harassment x2/ Uttering Threats
On September 2, 2025, officers were dispatched to a report of graffiti in the 500 block of Louise Avenue. Upon arrival, police discovered that two vehicles had been vandalized with spray paint and a GPS tracking device was also located on one of the vehicles. Further investigation revealed that some of the graffiti appeared to be directed toward a resident at the location. On September 9, 2025, a 36-year-old male suspect was arrested following an investigation into ongoing criminal harassment of his ex, 32-year-old female. It was determined that the male had been repeatedly messaging and threatening the victim.
The suspect has been charged and was released on an Undertaking with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 24, 2025.
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking / Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
On September 9, 2025, at approximately 4:18 p.m., members of the Brandon Police Service Organized Crime Section executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
During the search, officers located approximately half a kilogram of cocaine and seized approximately $10,000 in cash believed to be proceeds of crime. A 23-year-old male was arrested in connection with the investigation. He was later released on an Undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on November 13, 2025.
Failure to Comply Court Order x4
On September 9, 2025, at approximately 3:20 p.m., a BPS officer attended Brandon Correctional Centre (BCC) and arrested a 20-year-old male in connection with an ongoing investigation. It was determined that the male had breached a No Contact Order on four occasions by communicating with two individuals between August 8 and 9, 2025. The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on the morning of September 10, 2025.
