-The Brandon Wheat Kings play their 3rd pre-season game tonight when they host the Swift Current Broncos. The two teams meet again Saturday in Swift Current. The Wheat Kings first regular season game is on September 19th against the Moose Jaw Warriors at Assiniboine Credit Union Place.
-The Toronto Blue Jays shutout the Houston Astros 6-0 on Thursday. The Jays welcome the Baltimore Orioles tonight. Toronto is in first place in the American League East, 3 games up on the New York Yankees.
-The 6-and-6 Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be without quarterback Zach Collaros when they visit the 7-and-5 Hamilton Tiger-Cats tonight. Collaros is out with a neck injury and backup Chris Streveler will take his place.
-In the NFL last night – the Green Bay Packers downed Washington Commanders 27-18.
