-The Brandon Wheat Kings finished the pre-season at 3-and-1 after beating the Swift Current Broncos twice over the weekend 6-5 in overtime and 3-2. Brandon opens the regular season at home against the Moose Jaw Warriors this Friday.
-The Toronto Blue Jays open a 4 game series against the Tampa Rays today. The Jays beat the Orioles 11-2 on Sunday.
-The NFL Monday Night game – the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) visit the Houston Texans (0-1).
-The Brandon University Bobcats soccer teams wrapped up homecoming weekend with a perfect Sunday, sweeping all four games at HLC field against the University of Saint Boniface Les Rouges. The back-to-back victories capped off a dominant two-day performance for both the men’s and women’s teams.
