-The New York Yankees stayed alive in their division series with the Blue Jays by beating Toronto 9-6 Tuesday night. Game 4 goes tonight also in New York.
-In the NHL last night – the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2, the Pittsburgh Penguins shutout the New York Rangers 3-0, and the Colorado Avalanche downed the L-A Kings 4-1. Tonight, 4 Canadian teams open their NHL regular seasons – the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens – and the Calgary Flames are in Edmonton against the Oilers. The Winnipeg Jets start the season Thursday at home to the Dallas Stars.
