-The Toronto Blue Jays have advanced to the American League Championship Series after beating the New York Yankees 5-2 in Game 4 last night. The Jays will face either Detroit or Seattle, who’ll meet in a deciding Game 5 in their division series on Friday. Game 1 of the ALCS is scheduled for Sunday.
-In the NHL last night – the Flames topped the Oilers 4-3 in a shootout – and the Maple Leafs beat the Canadiens 5-2. The Winnipeg Jets begin the regular season tonight at home against the Dallas Stars.
-In the NFL tonight – the 4-and-1 Philadelphia Eagles take on the 1-and-4 New York Giants.
