Seven candidates vying for a vacant spot among the Brandon School Division trustees are on a ballot that will officially open tomorrow in locations around the city.
The Brandon School Division has announced the locations for in-person voting for the by-election. They are Monterey Estates Recreation Hall (40 Mockingbird Drive, Brandon), McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church (635 McDiarmid Drive, Brandon), Victoria Inn, Salon 2 (3550 Victoria Avenue, Brandon), Brandon Shoppers Mall Unit 22 (1570 – 18th Street, Brandon) Brandon School Division Administration Office (1031 – 6th Street, Brandon), and East End Community Centre (405 Park Street, Brandon). All voting places will be open 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
To be eligible to vote in this election, a person must be 18 years of age, a Canadian citizen, and live in the school division for a period of at least six months at the date of the election (since April 16, 2025). Voters may vote at whichever voting location they find most convenient.
The school division also said identification will be required to be eligible to vote. Voters will need either one piece of government issued photo identification (like a driver’s license) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity and residence.
