-The Toronto Blue Jays won the American League pennant last night, and a trip to the World Series for the first time in 32 years, with a 4-3 win over the Seattle Mariners. The Jays hung on to win the game after George Springer’s three-run homer in the 7th inning. The Blue Jays first game of the World Series against the L-A Dodgers is on Friday in Toronto.
-The Winnipeg Jets beat the Calgary Flames 2-1 last night for their 5th victory in-a-row.
-In the NFL on Monday night – the Detroit Lions beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-9 – and the Seattle Seahawks topped the Houston Texans 27-19.
