-The Brandon Wheat Kings won both of their weekend games – 7-0 over the Lethbridge Hurricanes and an 8-4 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors. Up next, the Wheat Kings travel to Regina on Wednesday to take on the Pats.
-In the Manitoba AAA U-18 Hockey League – Brandon posted a 2-1 shootout win over Central Plains.
-The Utah Mammoth got by the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on Sunday. The Jets return to action tomorrow in Minnesota against the Wild.
-Game 3 of the World Series goes tonight in Los Angeles. The Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays are tied at 1.
-The BU Bobcats women’s soccer team won their 3rd consecutive MCAC Championship on the weekend. They shutout Providence 3-0 to advance to the National Championships. The men came up short losing 2-1 to CMU.
-The CFL semi-finals are set for this coming Saturday. In the East, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are in Montreal with the winner playing the Hamilton Tiger Cats. In the West, the Calgary Stampeders take on the BC Lions. Saskatchewan awaits the winner.
