-The Toronto Blue Jays lost an epic battle to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the World Series. L-A won 6-5 in the 18th inning, and now lead 2-games-to-1. Game 4 goes tonight.
-The Winnipeg Jets are in Minnesota tonight against the Wild.
-In the NFL – the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Washington Commanders 28-7
-The Saskatchewan Roughriders will host the 114th Grey Cup in 2027. It’ll mark the second time Regina will host the CFL championship inside of five years, following the 2022 Grey Cup. Winnipeg is the site of this year’s Grey Cup on November 16th – Calgary is the host city next year.
-Canada’s professional women’s sports market has doubled in size over the past two years, and is on track to reach over half a billion dollars by 2030. A report by Canadian Women and Sport says two in three Canadians
are fans of women’s sports. Just this year, soccer’s Northern Super League launched, the Professional Women’s Hockey League has completed two seasons – and the Toronto Tempo will join the WNBA next year.
