Happy 80th Birthday, Dolly Parton!
The Governor of Tennessee is celebrating her birthday by proclaiming that today is officially Dolly Parton Day. Dolly was born as the fourth-born of 12 siblings on January 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge, Tennessee . . . which is a tiny town in the Smoky Mountains.
1. She wrote “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You” on the same day.
