There’s a pretty big Ford recall; more than a half a million vehicles. 600-thousand vehicles in Canada are getting notices about a software glitch which may cause trailer brakes not to function and exterior lights to fail.
Affected vehicles include certain years of some 2021-2026 F-150’S, 2024-26 Rangers, 2022-2026 Mavericks, AND some Super Duty Trucks

Manitoba Health says those who were waiting in the E-R in Brandon on Feb. 21 from 12:50 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. should monitor for any symptoms until March 15th. Virden Hockey fans who attended the Oil Capitals game February 16th also, may have been exposed to measles at the Tundra Oil and Gas Place; from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monitor for symptoms until March 10.

A family physician in Westman has received a Doctors Manitoba award. The 2026 Dr. Jack Armstrong Humanitarian Award was given to Dr. Holly Hamilton, who practices rural medicine in Notre Dame de Lourde. Recognizing her clinical expertise and humanitarian work with a non-profit helping adults with disabilities. Dr, Hamilton says a woman who was visually impaired, reminded her to appreciate the sunrise, when she herself was having a bad day, She felt that joy and knew she needed to get involved.

The Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes is bringing back it’s boat restrictions at Pelican Lake. It’s the “one boat, one lake” program, The Pelican Lake policy, was introduced in 2025 to prevent invasive species like zebra mussels from entering the lake at Ninette. A total of 418 boat inspections took place in the 2025 year; 33 of those inspections led boats to be denied access to the lake.
