Brandon’s downtown is getting ready for another burst of colour and creativity as the City of Brandon and Brandon Downtown BIZ open applications for the 2026 Downtown Outdoor Art Grant. The program supports artists, building owners, and community groups looking to bring new public art installations to the city’s core — from murals and sculptures to creative outdoor enhancements that help energize the downtown experience.
The grant is designed to encourage projects that brighten public spaces, celebrate local identity, and draw more people into the downtown area. Eligible applicants can request funding to support design, materials, and installation, with the goal of completing projects that are both visually engaging and accessible to the public.
Applications are open now through May 31, 2026, and the City encourages early submissions to allow time for review and planning. Successful projects will be selected based on artistic merit, community impact, and alignment with downtown revitalization goals.
Residents, artists, and property owners interested in applying can find full details — including eligibility, guidelines, and submission requirements — on the City of Brandon’s website.
