Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours seven individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. Five were held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells for court in the morning while two were released with future court dates.
Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours two individuals from separate incidents were arrested due to Breach of the Peace. They were each brought to BPS detention cells to prevent the continuation of behaviour and will be released once sober/calm.
Theft Under $5000
On April 29th police attended a home in the 1200 block of 9th Street in relation to a theft investigation. A 27-year-old female had been identified through surveillance footage connected to an incident that occurred on March 11th, 2026, in which approximately $50 worth of meat was stolen. The female was arrested at her house and later released on an Undertaking, with a court date scheduled for June 22nd, 2026.
Possession of a Weapon
On April 29th at 10:35 p.m. police were called to a disturbance where an intoxicated female was trying to fight people. She was said to be armed with a knife. Police attended and located the 31-year-old female in the 800 block of Queens Avenue. She was found to have a large hunting knife in her pant leg. She was arrested and held in BPS detention cells to be released once sober on an Undertaking. She has a future court date of June 22nd, 2026.
Assault / Weapon Charge/ Failure to Comply
On April 29th at 11:42 p.m., police were dispatched to a hotel in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue following a report of a female causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old female standing in the doorway of a room holding a closed folding knife. A male was found seated on a bed inside the room, and it was determined that he had been injured in the leg just below the knee. The male denied EMS or pressing charges. The female was arrested at the scene. She was bound by conditions prohibiting contact with the male and attendance at the hotel. As a result, she has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon, Failure to Comply with a Release Order, and Failure to Comply with Probation.
The accused was held in BPS detention cells and is scheduled to appear in court on the morning of April 30th, 2026.
