Just in time for gardening season, the City of Brandon is giving residents a chance to pick up free compost as part of International Compost Awareness Week, running May 5 to 9.
Residents are invited to bring their own pail and shovel to pick up compost at three community drop‑in events. The giveaway runs Tuesday, May 5 at Kin Park from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by two dates at Dinsdale Park: Thursday, May 7 from 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Supplies are limited and available on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
