The Peters School of Business at Assiniboine College is gearing up to host the 2026 Manitoba Business Case Competition, running May 13–14 at the college’s Victoria Avenue East campus. The annual event brings together high‑school students from across Manitoba to test their business skills in a fast‑paced, real‑world environment.
Teams of three students will tackle a timed business case and present their solutions to a panel of judges made up of industry professionals, educators, and business leaders. Competitors will go head‑to‑head in four categories: personal finance, entrepreneurship, accounting, and marketing.
Registration is now open, with a $75 per‑team fee and a March 13, 2026 deadline. Spots are limited and confirmed on a first‑come, first‑served basis once payment is received. Schools needing accommodations can access hotel blocks and bus transportation arranged through the college.
The competition also comes with a major incentive: every participant receives a $1,500 tuition credit toward Assiniboine’s Business Administration program. Top‑placing teams in each category earn an additional $2,500 credit, making the event both a learning opportunity and a financial boost for students considering a business career.
Organizers say the competition showcases Assiniboine’s hands‑on learning model while helping students build skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking — all while connecting with business leaders from across the province.
