Westman residents once again proved the power of community giving, raising more than $241,000 through this year’s Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign. The total, collected across 10 locally owned and operated Tim Hortons locations in Westman and surrounding communities, marks one of the region’s strongest fundraising years on record.
The national campaign also hit new heights, generating $23.3 million across Canada for local charities. But one Westman community stood out above the rest: Dauphin finished first in the entire country, raising an impressive $59,348.97 for the Countryfest Community Cinema. The Dauphin store’s total was the highest of any Tim Hortons location nationwide, earning recognition across the chain and spotlighting the strength of local support.

Funds raised through the Smile Cookie campaign stay in the communities where they’re collected, supporting charities, youth programs, health initiatives, and grassroots organizations across the region. Local owners say this year’s success reflects the combined efforts of customers, volunteers, partners, and staff who decorated, purchased, and promoted cookies throughout the week‑long campaign.

Organizers say the results highlight what makes Westman unique: strong community ties and a willingness to rally behind local causes. “This is what community looks like,” the campaign team said in a statement, thanking residents for another historic year.
