Dolly Parton was laid to rest in a private funeral service in Nashville on Friday August 28th following her death on August 25th at age 80 after what her representatives described as a brief battle with cancer. The service was private and attended only by immediate family, in keeping with Parton’s wishes. She was buried beside her husband, Carl Dean, who died in March 2025.
