Intimate Partner Violence
On Tuesday afternoon, police were requested to conduct a wellbeing check on a 35-year-old female after family members reported she had allegedly been assaulted by her partner the previous evening and could not be reached. Officers confirmed the male involved had been arrested and released earlier that day on a court order prohibiting communication with her. Upon attending the residence, officers received no response at the door. Entry was made, and the male was located inside the residence with the female, contrary to the conditions of his order. He was arrested and held for court in the morning. No further disclosure of assault was provided.
Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
At approximately 11:00 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Brandon Avenue after observing a truck fail to stop at a red light. During the stop, officers queried the serial number of a bicycle located in the truck bed and determined it had been reported stolen. A 39-year-old male was arrested. During the arrest, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine consistent with trafficking. He was held for court.
Intoxicated Persons
Within the past 24 hours, five adults were arrested for causing disturbances throughout the city. They will be released once sober.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., police were requested to locate a 13-year-old girl who had been reported missing by her family. She was located and found to be intoxicated. Police transported her home; however, family members declined to care for her at that time. She was held in custody and will be released to a responsible adult once sober.
