Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours two individuals from separate incidents were arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. They will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrant
On September 14th at 10:38 a.m., a 29-year-old male attended BPS as he was aware of a Flin Flon RCMP Warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested, held in BPS detention cells to attend court.
Assault with a Weapon / Possession of a Weapon / Resist Arrest
On September 14th at 4:04 p.m., Brandon police responded to a residence in the 200 block of 15th Street following a report that a 76-year-old male may have been stabbed. Police determined the victim had not been stabbed. However, video footage of the incident showed a 62-year-old male attempting to stab the 76-year-old male with a knife but missing the victim. The 62-year-old male was arrested and brought to BPS detention cells. He is scheduled to attend court on the morning of September 15th, 2026.
Assault/ Assault with a Weapon / Mischief to Property Under $5000
On September 14th at 7:28 p.m., Brandon police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at an apartment building in the 300 block of 22nd Street after a couple was heard screaming at each other. Police learned what began as an argument over text messages escalated into a physical altercation once both parties returned home. During the incident, a 20-year-old male headbutted the female victim, struck her with a shoe, and damaged her cellphone. The male was arrested and charged. He was later released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 23rd, 2026.
