Brandon West-End Power Outage Affects More Than 700 Customers
An unplanned power outage is affecting 722 Manitoba Hydro customers in Brandon’s west end Thursday morning.
According to Manitoba Hydro’s outage map, crews are on site working to restore service, with power currently expected to be back by approximately 9:30 a.m. The cause of the outage remains under investigation.
The outage has also affected several traffic signals in the area. Motorists are reminded that any dark or non-functioning traffic light must be treated as a four-way stop to help prevent collisions and keep traffic moving safely.

The outage is impacting portions of Brandon’s west end, including areas around:
- 18th Street
- Victoria Avenue
- Richmond Avenue
- Maryland Avenue
- Queens Avenue
- Westview neighbourhood areas
