Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours two individuals from separate incidents were arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. Both will be released once sober.
Theft Under $5000
On September 30th a Loss Prevention Officer from a business in the Corral Centre reported a shoplifter who stole a dash cam and other items totaling over $200 in theft. The 22-year-old female thief was located, arrested and charged on October 8th, 2026. She was later released via Undertaking with a future court date of December 14th, 2026.
Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours three individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. Two individuals were held at BPS detention cells for court in the morning on October 9th, 2026. The third individual was released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of November 10th, 2026, in Killarney.
Break and Enter
On October 8th at 10:21 p.m., Brandon Police Service responded to an alarm at a business in the 1600 block of 1st Street North after a report that the front window had been broken. Surveillance footage showed a male suspect wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and carrying a backpack, possibly yellow in colour. The suspect used bolt cutters to break the business front window and door. The male was last seen heading west into an open field. Police deployed K9 and drone resources to assist in the search. The matter remains under investigation.
