On August 17, 2021, Brandon police attempted to conduct a traffic stop at shortly before 10:00 am, but the suspect vehicle proceeded to drive away at a high rate of speed east bound on Victoria Ave East, then north on Highway 110, and eventually east on Veterans Way. Members of Brandon Police Service terminated the pursuit after approximately 5 minutes and other police jurisdictions were notified of the situation. The suspect exceeded speeds of 140km/h during the pursuit. At approximately 11:00 am, members of MFNP Sandy Bay Detachment advised BPS that they had located the suspect vehicle and arrested the driver, a 15-year-old boy. He was to appear in court Aug. 18 on charges from Brandon Police Service of Flight from Police, and Dangerous Driving.

On August 17, 2021, police responded to a report of two people fighting in the street near the 600 block of 9th street at 6:00 pm. Investigation revealed that the 38-year-old man was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the other individual. He was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 14, 2021.

On August 16, 2021, shortly before 5:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated man in the 1900 block of 18th Street Nortth. Police say he was in no condition to care for himself, so he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober. While in custody, the 42-year-old also allegedly damaged a smoke detector. He will be released when sober to appear in court on November 1, 2021 on a charge of Mischief to Property.

On August 18, 2021, Brandon police responded to an alarm at a business in the 200 block of College Avenue shortly after 2:00 am. The suspects were able to enter through an unlocked door, and then they forced their way into an inner office where they stole a tablet. The suspects fled prior to police arrival; however, security footage assisted police in identifying them. Shortly after 4:00 pm, police located and arrested the two suspects. The stolen tablet was also recovered. A 29-year-old man was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear today in court on charges of Break and Enter and Theft, and Fail to Comply with Release Order X4. A 27-year-old woman was later released to appear in court on a charge of Break and Enter and Theft on October 21, 2021.
