Canada improved to 2-and-0 Tuesday at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in France, defeating Samoa 42-7.
Brandon’s Amanda Thornborough substituted into Tuesday’s contest at the 13 minute mark of the second half and made an off-load pass to that allowed Brittany Waters to score Canada’s fifth try of the game.
Canada is tied with England atop Pool A and will face the English squad in their final round-robin game on Saturday.
England defeated Spain 45-5 Tuesday.
