At 12:34 pm, Aug 17th, Brandon police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 200’ block of 23rd Street. Police say upon their arrival, a 32 year old man fled from officers on foot. He was caught in the area and arrested for breaching his undertaking and resisting arrest. He was lodged at BPS for court in the morning.

At 12:44 pm, police responded to a report of a man with a slingshot between 10th & 11th Street in the 000’ block. Officers say the man had been shooting the slingshot at buildings and broke a window to a business. Police located a 39 year old man in the area matching the description and in possession of a slingshot. He was also in the company of a 42 year old man who was allegedly in possession of several packages of methamphetamine and a small club. Both men were arrested and later released for court on October 13, 2022.

At 8:49 am, Aug 17th, Brandon police received a report that a vehicle had been entered sometime overnight in the 600’ block of 24th Street and a wallet had been stolen from inside. A credit card from the wallet had been used at several business throughout the city. Police were able to identify the suspect with video surveillance and later arrested the 25 year old female from Bowsman, MB. She was later released with a court date of October 17, 2022.

At 10:54 pm, police responded to a disturbance in the area of 9th Street and Pacific Avenue. Police say a 32 year old man was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with probation. He was later released for court on November 15th, 2022, in Winnipeg.

At 11:32 pm, Brandon police were called to business in the 1000’ block of 18th Street for an intoxicated male who had been banned from the business but kept returning. A 29 year old man was arrested and lodged at BPS to be released once sober with a By-Law ticket for trespassing.

At 2:17 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 500’ block of Lorne Avenue. Police say the driver, a 27 year old Quebec man, was found to be impaired. He was transported to BPS where he allegedly became combative with police and refused to provide breath samples. He was held in custody for court in the morning.
