Visitors will once again be able to check out the Lake Audy Bison Enclosure in Riding Mountain National Park beginning May 18, 2023.
In a media release, Parks Canada says temporary road repairs are now complete on the eastern portion of Lake Audy Road off Highway 10, and the road is safe for visitor travel. A small section of the road will be one lane, and visitors are asked to pay close attention when approaching on-coming traffic.
Visitors will have access to the Strathclair and Central Trailhead via the bison enclosure upon the reopening of the road. Work to permanently repair the remaining damage to Lake Audy Road off PR 354 and off Highway 10 is expected to begin this fall. This will result in the closure of the Lake Audy Area to visitors while construction is underway.
