On August 16, 2023, shortly after 9:00 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence. Police say two individuals were allegedly arguing over money, which led to both threats and an assault. Police arrested a 55-year-old female and later released her to appear in court on October 26, 2023 on a charge of Assault. Police arrested a 54-year-old male and later released him to appear in court on October 23, 2023 on a charge of Uttering Threats. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

On August 16, 2023 shortly after 11:00 am, police responded to a report of a stolen bike from a residential yard on Cornwallis Crescent. Police say the alleged theft was captured on security footage that assisted police in identifying the suspect. Shortly before 1:00 pm, police located and arrested the 32-year-old suspect at his residence. He was later released and will appear in court on October 16, 2023 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

On August 16, 2023 shortly before 9:00 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of an intoxicated female laying in the middle of the road near Cornell Bay. The 22-year-old female was located and arrested and was lodged at Brandon Police Service as there was nobody to look after her.

On August 6, 2023, police received a report of a male contacting an individual via messages, contrary to a court order on August 5, 2023. On August 16, 2023, the 34-year-old male turned himself in to Brandon Police Service. He was released to appear in court on August 26, 2023 on a charge of Disobey a Court Order.

On August 16, 2023, police conducted a curfew check on a 15-year-old male. He was not at home at the time, but he was located shortly before 11:00 pm walking in the area of 12th street and Lorne Ave. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court this morning on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
