The historic Central Fire Station on Brandon’s Princess Avenue is for sale for $1.35-million.
The structure, which has been designated a heritage building, was built in 1911 – and is currently an events venue for weddings and social gatherings.
According to the listing on Realtor.ca – “The main portion of the 2 1/2 storey brick and concrete structure was built of semi-fireproof construction with thirteen inch-thick walls set on heavy concrete floors with a basement below. The first floor renovations in 2015 included plumbing & electrical. The intimate hayloft space perfect for gatherings or smaller events was updated 2016. Stairs to the hayloft were replaced & meet code. Structural repairs were completed to the roof around 2020. All equipment & chattels located in the building would be included with the sale including a walk in freezer, sinks, fridges, fryer, hood, all table and chairs.”
Before Samson Engineering transformed the building into an events facility in 2021, it was home to the Prairie Firehouse restaurant. It closed in the spring of 2020 due to difficulties during the COVID pandemic.
