On October 10, 2023, at approximately 12:30 am, Brandon police conducted a traffic stop in the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue. Police say the 51-year-old driver allegedly displayed signs of being impaired by a drug. He was arrested and an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert was conducted. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released once sober to appear in court on October 19, 2023, on a charge of Driving while Ability Impaired.

On October 10, 2023, at approximately 12:30 am, police responded with BFES to a report of a residential fire in the 300 block of 2nd Street. The lone resident exited the home safely. The fire is believed to have started accidentally.

On October 9, 2023, a 23-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service as he was aware he was wanted on an outstanding charge of Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference. He was lodged following his arrest to appear in court today.
