On 2024-01-29, Brandon police received a report of a theft of a tablet from a business located in the 1300 block of 18th Street. A suspect was identified through video surveillance and on 2024-02-11, a 28-year-old male was located in the 400 block of 10th Street and arrested. The accused has been released from police custody with conditions to appear in court 2024-04-18 for the charge of Theft Under $5000.

On the evening of 2024-02-11, police attended to a residence in the 100 block of 2nd Street as a family member was reportedly intoxicated and causing a disturbance. A 19-year-old female was lodged at BPS and will be released once sober.

On 2024-02-12, Brandon police attended to an apartment block in the 400 block of 12th Street as an individual had gained access to the building and was attempting to steal coins from the laundry machines. A 34-year-old male was arrested and found to be in possession of a crow-bar. The accused has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-04-01 for the charges of Break & Enter, and Possession of B&E Instrument.

On 2024-02-12, police attended to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 2000 block of Brandon Avenue. Investigation resulted in disclosure from a 34-year-old female that her spouse had assaulted her after he returned home intoxicated. No injuries were sustained by the victim. A 43-year-old male was arrested and lodged at BPS will be released sober with conditions to appear in court 2024-04-01 for the charge of assault.
