On Feb 19th at 07:59 am, Brandon police received a call that someone was sleeping in the yard of an address in the 200 block of Princess Avenue. A 49-year-old female was located deceased. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of death.
Accident update:
On February 20th at 04:55 am, Brandon Police were called to a multi vehicle accident in the 5500 block of Richmond Avenue East. A semi-truck was traveling northbound on Limestone Rd east, turning westbound onto Richmond Avenue when the vehicle broke down. The semi-trailer was blocking the westbound lane and partially blocking the east bound lane. An eastbound Dodge Caravan struck the back driver’s side of the semi-trailer. A Mitsubishi Lancer that was also traveling eastbound then struck the Dodge Caravan. The 52-year-old male who was operating the Carvan has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
UPDATE: The 52-year-old male driver has been upgraded to stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. Police continue to investigate the collision.

On February 20th at 08:21 am, Brandon Police arrested a 36-year-old male for failing to comply with his court order. On February 15th, 2024, a 34-year-old female reported the accused had been harassing her at her place of employment in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. The accused is on an order to have no contact with the complainant. He was held for court on February 20th, 2024.

On February 20th at 12:05 pm, police were called to a disturbance in the 1500 block of Lorne Avenue. A witness reported a male was smashing a window out of a parked car. A 17-year-old male was arrested in the area and held for court on February 21st, 2024.

On February 20th at 4:42 pm, a business in the 1400 block of First Street North reported a male had loaded up a cart full of merchandise and fled. Police located the male in the area and the stolen items were returned to the business. The staff did not wish to see charges laid. A 33-year-old male who was under the influence of an intoxicant was arrested for breach of peace and will be released in the morning.

On February 20th ay 9:14 pm, Brandon police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 1800 block of Rosser Avenue. A 33-year-old male was arrested, as police say he was intoxicated and found to be the cause of the issues. He will be released in the morning.

On February 21 at 01:20 am, police were called to a residence in the 400 block of 7th Street for a disturbance. A 28-year-old female was arrested. Police say she had an outstanding warrant for breach of probation. She was released for court on April 29th, 2024.

On February 20th Police arrested a 33-year-old male for Theft under $5000. On February 17th a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported the male had stolen $300 worth of Merchandise. He was released for court on May 6th, 2024.
