Brandon’s ‘Salamander Summer Music Festival’ will be back for a second year this July 19th – 21st at Rideau Park. Right now, organizers are looking for volunteers, and you can apply at salamandervolunteers@gmail.com.
At this week’s City Council meeting, organizers were granted a community event designation so they could serve alcohol. The festival’s Sheri Connery told councillors that even when the event is underway, there will still be access to Rideau Park’s pool, playground and other parts of the greenspace.
She said, last year’s festival attracted about 100 people each day.
The ‘Salamander Summer Music Festival’ will run between 4:00 pm and 11:00 pm on July 19th, 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm on July 20th – and from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm on July 21st.
Day passes are $25 plus taxes for adults and $20 for youths. Weekend passes are $60 plus taxes for adults and $50 for youths. Kids under 12 have free admission as long as they accompany an adult with admission.
