Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for the Brandon region including Carberry, Neepawa and Treherne.
The rain, beginning Thursday night through Saturday afternoon, can be heavy at times with total amounts of 50 to 60 mm.
The heavier rain will begin overnight tonight as a strong low pressure system tracks northwards from the Dakotas. Most of the rain with this system will fall on Friday and taper off through the day on Saturday. Northerly wind gusts up to 60 km/h will accompany the rain Friday and Saturday.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
