Child Pornography
On June 5th, 2024, Brandon police received information that a 39-year-old male of Frobisher Crescent was accused of accessing child pornography online. Police say a warrant was executed, and the man was arrested and all electronic devices were seized. He was released for court on August 15, 2024.
Assault With A Weapon
On June 5th, 2024 at approximately 1:00 pm, police were called to the 200 block of 8th Street for a report of a suspicious male. Police say a 42 year old male had reportedly been told to leave the property prior to police arrival, but instead he allegedly advanced, arms raised, holding a screwdriver while uttering threats. Police later located and arrested the suspect. Police say that during his arrest he was found in possession of a screwdriver and 2 lighters which was in contravention of his Probation Order. He was arrested and held for court June 6, 2024.
Arrest Warrant
On June 5th at approximately 4:30 pm, a 29 year old male turned himself in to Brandon Police Service for an outstanding warrant. He was released with a future court date of August 8, 2024.
Fail To Comply With Release Order
On June 5th at 8:21 pm, Brandon police were called to the 800 block of Pacific Avenue for a hold-up alarm. Officers report an intoxicated and uncooperative 32-year-old male was arrested. Police say there was a previous condition for him not to be at this location. He will be released in the morning for court on August 15, 2024.
