Two people face arson charges after a fire at the Corral Centre Walmart in Brandon last Friday (June 7).
In a media release, Brandon police said an investigation found Adirondack chairs at the front entrance of the store were set on fire, and the blaze then spread to the building.
The flames were contained to the front entrance of the Walmart building, which was closed Friday and Saturday as staff worked to clean up and make repairs – the store was reopened on Sunday.
Police said on the weekend three youths were arrested in connection with the fire, and two were charged with arson. Their ages were not revealed.
