Arrest Warrant
On June 11th at 4:06pm while conducting a traffic stop in the 600 block of 18th Street, police arrested a 39 year old male who officers say had an outstanding warrant for assault. He was arrested and held in custody for court on June 12th, 2024.
Uttering Threats
On June 11th at 3:47pm police received a call to a residence in the 800 block of Frederick Street. The resident reported that a male was yelling threats over the fence stating he would shoot everyone. Police arrested a 42 year old male at his residence next door. A court date of September 12, 2024 has been set.
False Allegations
On June 11th at 10:21pm a 15 year old female along with a taxi driver arrived to the Brandon Police Station. The female failed to pay her taxi fare and alleged that the driver had sexually assaulted her. The taxi driver presented police with an audio recording of the female threatening the false allegations. The female was intoxicated and arrested in Brandon Police Station lobby for minor consumption. She was later released to her guardian.
Arson Arrest
On June 11th police arrested a 25 year old female for arson. On June 10th at 5:10am police received a call of a porch fire in a residence in the 300 block of 6th Street. The accused was identified via video surveillance. She was held in custody for court on June 12th, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On June 11th at 9:42pm a female reported that an unknown male approached her vehicle in a parking lot in the 1500 block of 18th Street and asked her if she wanted to die, then began knocking on her window. An intoxicated 25 year old male was arrested and will be released in the morning.
Breach of Peace
On June 11th at 11:20pm police were called to the 700 block of Rosser Avenue. A 30 year old male had tried removing a side mirror off of a parked vehicle. Police are attempting to contact the registered owner. The accused was arrested and will be released in the morning.
Arrest Warrant
On June 11th at 11:17pm while on an unrelated call police identified a 24 year old female with an outstanding warrant for failure to attend court. The female was arrested and released on scene with a court date of July 22, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On June 11th at 4:15am police received a report of a disturbance in an apartment building in the 300 block of 13th Street. A male and female were both found intoxicated. The male was uncooperative with police and arrested for Breach of Peace. He will be released in the morning.
Attempted Theft
On June 11th at 4:18am police received a call that a male was trying vehicle door handles in the parking lot of an establishment in Victoria Avenue East. Police positively identified a 29 year old male in possession of a bag containing several bank and credit cards. He was arrested for possession of stolen property and later released for court on July 11, 2024.
Mischief Under $5000 / Attempted Break and Enter
On June 11th police were called to an attempted break and enter in the 100 block of 17th Street. Glass was broken though no entrance was gained to the business. From video footage police were able to identify two suspects that were located in the area. A 61 year old and 14 year old male were arrested. The 61 year old male will be seen in court on June 12th, 2024. The 14 year old has a court date of August 27, 2024.
