Arrest Warrants
On July 15th police located and arrested several individuals throughout the day who were wanted on outstanding charges:
A 35-year-old male was arrested while in custody on another matter. Currently in custody on Failure to Comply with Release Order X3.
A 28-year-old male was located at the request of the RCMP. He was issued an Appearance Notice for Failure to Appear with a court date set for August 16th in Virden, MB.
A 45-year-old male attended Brandon Police Station to turn himself in as he was aware of an Assault and Mischief Under $5000 charge existing out of Winkler, MB. He was arrested and released with a court date of September 19th, 2024, in Winkler.
Stolen Vehicle
A 2005 White Ford F-250 was last seen July 12th on the 100 block of 13th Street. A set of keys may have been left inside. The vehicle had third party tracking software that last placed the vehicle in the 1600 block of Pacific Avenue at 3AM Monday morning. It is believed the tracker was removed at that time. Police continue to investigate.
Stolen Vehicle and Recovery
On July 15th at 12:30PM a call was received that at 6:00AM a resident noticed his 2004 White Ford F-250 had been stolen from the 100 block of Industrial Drive. The owner stated at 9:30AM he had recovered the truck a ways down Industrial Drive with multiple parts ripped off and a license plate for the previous stolen 2005 Ford F-250 left on the ground nearby. Police continue to investigate.
Break and Enter
On July 15th it was reported that sometime between July 13th and July 15th a garage in the 700 block of 11th Street was broken into. A black ebike with a milk crate on the front was taken. Breach of Peace
On July 16th at 1:55AM police were called to a disturbance where a 21-year-old female was found to be highly intoxicated. She had pulled a fire alarm. Female was lodged to prevent further issues and will be released once sober.
Impaired Driver
On July 16th at 2:30AM police conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Princess Avenue. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for impaired driving. The 37-year-old woman was already suspended from a previous IRP offence. An appearance notice for court on July 25th, 2024, was given with charges of Operation While Impaired and Operation Exceeding 80 mgs%.
